Can I buy the CardsSafe system?
CardsSafe is only available to rent. Through experience and extensive feedback, our clients prefer the more affordable rental option.
What are the costs?
There is an upfront installation fee of £39.95 (+VAT) for a unit plus delivery. After that, we only charge a rental fee of £9.95 (+VAT) per month per unit.
What do I get for my monthly fee?
The rental fee includes unlimited replacements of faulty products and maintenance, plus ten free replacement keys per unit per year.
How many card compartments are there in one unit?
Each unit contains ten compartments and unique keys to secure debit, credit and ID cards.
How quickly can I get my order?
If you register and create an online account, you can order at the same time and receive your unit(s) within 48 hours.
Can I start with 1 unit and add to it later?
Yes, you can add up to nine additional units.
How long is the contract?
The contract is for a minimum of twelve months.
What is the "anniversary date"?
The anniversary date is the date from when you signed up for the contract.
Can I cancel my contract, and how do I do it?
You must write to CardsSafe at least two months before the anniversary date. You can find this date on your online account.
What size is the unit, and how do I secure it to wall/counter?
The dimensions are 26 cm tall, 13.8 cm deep and 7.8 cm wide. A template is provided which shows where holes should be drilled so the unit can be fixed to a wall.
What happens if a customer leaves with a key?
There is a master key that you can use to open the box. If the customer does not return the key, a replacement can be ordered online or by phone.
How do I order replacements and is there a fee?
The unit comes with ten compartments and ten unique keys. During your 12-month contract, you can order up to 10 replacement keys free of charge (as part of your agreement). Any additional keys will be charged for and can be ordered online or by calling the office.
Does the unit come with a Master key?
Yes. To comply with various data protection laws, including GDPR and PCI, the master key should be kept in a securely locked place and a log should be kept each time the master key used.
What is CardsSafe?
The CardsSafe system is designed to protect customer and business assets. It reduces walkouts and bank charges and virtually eliminates chargebacks. CardsSafe securely retains customer credit, debit and ID cards while the cardholder runs a tab or uses your product or service.
